Harvest

Habanero Peppers just harvested from the garden. I decided to grab a few just in case any critters wandered by and decided to help themselves. Even though they might regret eating these. Or even worse, they might seek revenge on the homeowner that would grow something that burns you horribly on the way in as well as on the way out!

These guys are on their way to being made into my special Habanero Syrup. If you know your peppers, you know that these guys rank high on the Scoville Heat Ranking Chart for peppers. A jalapeno comes in at 8,000 Scoville as opposed to a habanero which comes in at 350,000 Scoville. Needless to say, this is a pretty spicy syrup! I use it on pancakes, waffles and oatmeal. It also works well drizzled over breakfast sausage and bacon. 😊

My recipe is available upon request. 😊
